We already told you about a fancy workaround you can use to listen to Spotify on your Chromebook, but now Spotify finally has an official web app in the Chrome Web Store. Unfortunately, it’s not quite as simple as downloading the app and launching Spotify within Chrome.
As of now, the Spotify web app is still technically in a limited beta. This means that it’s possible you’ll still get an error message when launching Spotify. Depending on your account, launching the Spotify web app within Chrome OS might lead you to an error page, stating that Spotify is only available on Windows and Mac.
If this happens, simply click this Facebook link, and accept any permissions if you haven’t already – you should then be redirected to the Spotify web app. Then, going forward, you should be able to use the Chrome web app without any problems, unless you again need to sign in.
