Part 2. How to Use Spotify on PS4 While Playing Games Officially

- With the Spotify app available on PlayStation Music, you can listen to Spotify on your PS4 or PS3 console. On your PlayStation console, go to the PlayStation Music app. Log in one of these three ways to play: With Spotify Connect. With your Spotify email address and password.

Spotify is available for PS3 and PS4 as a surprise appearance, so gamers will be able to play Spotify music as background music without a separate device. Basically, there are 3 ways to get Spotify on PlayStation 4.
Use Spotify Connect
Step 1. Confirm that your device and PS4 is connected to the same WiFi network. Then open the Spotify app.
Step 2. Start to play a song and click Devices Available on mobile or click the 'connect device' icon on a computer.
Step 3. Pick out your PS4 from the device picker and begin listening.
Use the Email Address and Password
Step 1. Launch the Spotify app on your PS4.
Spotify Free Music Online
Step 2. Choose LOG IN > LOG IN WITH EMAIL OR USERNAME.
Step 3. Type in your Spotify email address and password, and tap LOG IN.
Use a PIN
Step 1. Turn on the Spotify app on your console.

Step 3. Locate to www.spotify.com/pair on your computer or phone, and choose the pin from what you see on your screen.
When you log in Spotify on PS4, you can choose the option of LINK ACCOUNTS to bound your Spotify account to PS4. So in next time, you will automatically log into Spotify whenever you log in your PS4 system on whatever console.
Download the Spotify app on your PS4, or PS3 to listen to your favorite music and podcasts on your console.
Logging in
Open the Spotify app on your console, then choose one of these ways to log in:
- Enter your Spotify email address and password.
- Open the Spotify app on your phone or tablet, and find your device using Spotify Connect.
When you log in to Spotify, your account links to your PlayStation Network account. This automatically logs you in to Spotify whenever you log in to your PSN account.
Listen while you game
For: PS4.
When you play Spotify on your PS4, it continues to play while you game.
Tip: If the game allows, you can disable in-game music for the best Spotify experience.
To control Spotify while you game:
- Press and hold the PS button on your controller to bring up the quick menu.
- Select Spotify.
- Here you can skip songs, play/pause, or adjust the volume.
Or, use Spotify Connect to use your phone to control the music remotely.
Unlink Spotify from PlayStation Network
You can unlink your PSN account from Spotify by contacting Sony customer support and letting them know your username.
